Learning Activity 2 Kintsugi
Partner with another person in the class.
Watch this video together.
Get two balls of clay, each the size of a baseball.
Go to opposite sides of the classroom to work without seeing each other's work for 10 minutes to each create a simple pinch bowl with a pinched foot and add texture with stamps and tools.
After 10 minutes, reconnect with your partner and switch bowls.
Discuss the imperfections on each other's bowls and offer suggestions to keep to change elements of the bowl.
Switch bowls and continue to work on your bowl for 10 more minutes considering the suggestions from your partner.
Sign your bowl on the base and add the date.
Get an index card and write a name for the title of your bowl and write a short description about how you arrived at that name.
Put your bowl and index card on the table for a gallery walk.
After the gallery walk, go to Socrative with your partner.
